Cloud9 Officially Exits the Korean Scene Valorant

Cloud9 Officially Exits the Korean Scene Valorant.

After becoming semifinalists at the prestigious First Strike Korea tournament, Cloud9 surprisingly announced that they had disbanded their roster.

Cloud9 Korea’s roster was originally created in mid-August, featuring an all-new roster from former Overwatch, PUBG, and Apex Legends players, along with a roster change in mid-October.

The team has proven itself to be one of the best in the Korean region, winning the APE TopClass Academy Tournament and placing 4th at the AWEM Asia Invitational.

Most recently, they were the only team in the First Strike Korea Regional Final to take 1 game from Vision Strikers when they lost in the semifinals.

There has been speculation that the team’s release may have been caused by Global Esports Rules and Policies for Valorant , which is meant to have an update regarding organizations with more than one team released in October.

While no such update has yet been released to the public, perhaps it is for an organization. If true, it might seal the same fate for the Valorant team Cloud9 White and Korean T1.

There is a giveaway contest with a prize of 1 million rupiah in game vouchers in the application!

Several players from T1 Korea have announced on Twitter that, although the players are still under contract with the organization, the organization has allowed them to explore options for 2021.
